Akoto Yaw Omari-Sasu

Dr. Akoto Yaw Omari-Sasu holds an MSc in Financial Mathematics and Statistics from the Technische Universitaet Kaiserslautern, Germany. He also holds a PhD in Applied Statistics from the University for Development Studies, Tamale-Ghana, and is currently a Lecturer with the Department of Mathematics of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology. His main area of research is Financial and Actuarial Modelling, and he handles the following courses in the Department: Actuarial Risk Management, Loss Models, Statistical Quality Control, Sample Survey Theory and Method, and Applied Time Series Analysis. 

At the National Institute for Mathematical Sciences, Ghana, he is in charge of facility management, and investigates availability and suitability options for new premises. He is also part of the team responsible for the logistical coordination of the NIMS-Ghana programmes, the overseeing of application processes, the organization of materials, and the execution of programmatic activities. He thus works closely with the NIMS-Ghana Directorate and the various committees.
